GBENGA ADEYINKA LIVE IN OSOGBO - JUNE 12

Oya start preparing to go o..  Catch you there.

Spanish Police Smash Edo State Voodoo Prostitution Gang

Spanish police said Sunday [Jun 2] they had broken up a ring that smuggled in women from Nigeria and forced them into street prostitution by burning them with irons and using voodoo rituals.

Police arrested six Nigerian nationals, including the suspected woman ringleader, as part of an investigation launched last year after one of the prostitutes filed a complaint with the authorities.

“The control exercised over women was total, involving verbal threats as well as physical violence and various voodoo ceremonies to terrorise them,” police said in a statement. “The ring caused them serious injury through bites or by using an iron to cause second-degree burns.”

The ring recruited women in Benin City, a run-down Nigerian port, whose husbands and fathers had died and who were struggling to raise their children.

They transported the women overland to Morocco and then smuggled them on small wooden boats into Spain where they are forced to work as street prostitutes in Barcelona and Malaga.

Spanish police have swooped several times in past years on similar prostitution rings that used the threat of voodoo curses to frighten their victims into obedience.

Before leaving Nigeria, the rings often take their victims to shrines where they swear to pay their debts to the group and not to denounce them to the police.

The women leave fingernails, hair, underwear and other personal items at the shrines which they are told will give voodoo priests the power to harm them wherever they are in the world.

Gospel Singer Tina Caught Her Husband Cheating; She Almost Killed Him

Gospel Singer, Tina Campbell got married to her husband, Teddy, in 2000 and they have four kids together. But something happened in their marriage recently that threatened her "sanity" and that was when she caught her loving husband cheating on her with another woman.
Once I became aware, I initially wanted to kill my husband. I was considering adjusting the will, the living trust and all that kind of stuff. I did physically try to stab him...several times."
She opened up on what is happening to she and her husband now. See what she said below...
After her interview was published on Ebony magazine, Tina posted a message to her fans on her website asking for prayers over her husband's infidelity:
Hi fans and friends. It’s Tina. I hope all of you are well and I thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown my sister and I over the years.
Well, I'm actually writing you on behalf of my husband Teddy and I. I’m assuming that many of you have seen or heard about our article in Ebony that discussed the challenges of overcoming infidelity in our marriage. Well since the article, the challenges have worsened. My hope turned into hopelessness & despair and I became unwilling to forgive and fight, until God showed me myself.
My husband’s struggle, was with sexual immorality BUT I have struggled with anger, rage, unforgiveness, pride, just to name a few, for over 2 decades. The devil wanted to use strongholds that took hold of our lives in our childhood, to remain and destroy us as adults. So now instead of being mad at each other we’re mad at the devil and we’re ready to fight.
Today we began a 30 day fast (May 24th-June 22nd) for complete deliverance & restoration. If u are able to, please fast and/or pray daily that God would answer our prayers and give us a deeper love & commitment to him and to each other. We believe he still works miracles and he can give us the greatest marriage we could have ever imagined. We can pray alone BUT your prayers will certainly help...
Thanks in advance. Talk to you in 30 days.

Why I Married Another Woman’s Husband ––Foluke Daramola

Busty actress, Foluke Daramola has finally broke her silence over the lingering controversy about her moves that collapsed the marriage of a female pastor in Redeemed Church, Pastor Olubunmi, and even went ahead to get married to the woman's husband, Kayode Salako.

Foluke said she doesn't give a damn about what anybody says. Below is her position:

Are you separated or divorced?
I’m naturally divorced because it is over four years since I left him. But the paper work is not yet done.

Let's talk on your marriage to Kayode. How did you feel?
Of course, I felt good. I am happy in my marriage.

But people said you snatched somebody’s husband?
I did not snatch anybody’s husband. I never asked her to pack out of her husband’s house. Moreover, I did not meet her at home when I married Kayode.

But, when you were dating him, you knew he was married?
I knew.

But you still went ahead to marry him?
That is between him and me.

Your friend, Princess Fajuyi Bukola claimed you used charm to snatch Kayode from his wife. What would you say to that?
See, I don’t have anything to say to that, she can go ahead and say whatever she likes.

But the story is all over the town, she even claimed she took you to the man?
That is her problem. Why is she just saying it now? I don’t have anything to say to that. All I know is now I am happy in my marriage.

"If I Become President, Poor People Would Enjoy"

From his appearance, many people won’t give Citizen Sani Ahmed a chance. But this unkempt man has a quality many Nigerians lack: he is an ardent reader of newspapers and knows a lot about what is going on. Thomas Ushie reports.

“If I were the President of this country, the poor people would enjoy. I will make life easy for them. I will ensure that their children go to good schools, graduate and have jobs to do. I will not allow people to steal government money. And I will use the money that the country has very well to the benefit of the poor people."
The encounter with this man, a truck pusher, is an interesting one. Read on...
As the breeze wheezed through the Costain-National Theatre surroundings in Lagos, cooling the effect of the fierce and scorching sun that Wednesday afternoon, a man sought shelter under a leafy tree on the roadside, surrounded by weeds and filths.

He savoured the abundant oxygen being released by the trees and grasses, damning the stench oozing from the gutters and dirt that surrounded him. His physical appearance and his filthy surroundings suggest that he was mentally challenged.

The mucky and torn Ghana-must-go bag beside him seemed to bear more eloquent testimony to the supposition. Or could he be a destitute? In the midst of all these thoughts, what fascinated the reporter was that the man was reading a newspaper with high concentration.

Not even the hooting of the vehicles and noise of the trucks that shake their trunk precariously across the Costain-National Theatre link to the ever busy Eko Bridge, Lagos, could distract his attention. Curious, Saturday Mirror spent almost an hour watching and studying the man’s reading method and desire as he flipped from page to page with the suaveness of a scholar.
“He is not a mechanic. No mechanic would sit in this kind of dirty environment irrespective of the intensity of the sun. At least, the overhead bridge across where he was sitting provides shelter. He is not mentally okay”, the reporter soliloquised as he carried out the sieving of the probable mental state of the man.
“I like the paper you are reading. That is where I work,” the reporter tried opening conversation with the reader. Unfortunately, the man continued reading with rap attention. The reporter cleared his throat, stooped and greeted, “Good afternoon”. The greeting cut his concentration. And He dragged his eyes from the pages of the newspaper like a hungry sleeping lion woken up by a prey. “What do you want,” he enquired from the inquisitive reporter in Pidgin English laced with Hausa accent. “I like you. I just want to know what you are reading,” the reporter replied. In this era of dearth of reading culture, what could have informed this man’s appetite for reading newspapers? Saturday Mirror decided to ask the man who later gave his name as Sani Ahmed, if he reads daily.

“The paper is not current,” he told Saturday Mirror. “It is yesterday’s paper. I like reading to know what is happening in the country. I read everything I see in the paper whenever I have time and access to newspapers.

"I will, by the Grace of God, read today’s paper tomorrow. That is how I do it by the day. I enjoy reading” Sani said. As the conversation continued, Citizen Sani Ahmed, a truck pusher, showed that he is full of dreams for the country while proving to the reporter who had thought that he was a mentally challenged person, that appearance is not reality. The last page Sani was reading when Saturday Mirror broke his concentration, had a story on the crack down on Boko Haram insurgents in the north.

The page was still opened as the conversation went on. And when asked what his take on the insurgents is, Sani did not mince words in condemning the activities of the sect. “Boko Haram? Walahi! (exclamation in Hausa) they are not good people.

Why would they be killing people in the North? Why would they kill people when they did not do anything bad to them? It is not good at all. I do not support them because people would not be able to work and feed themselves as a result of their activities.

It is better they stop all these killings. It would not help us. Neither would it help them. All of them are spoiling this country,” Sani rued. Asked what kind of stories thrills him, he answered: “any story that is of interest to me thrills me, especially, stories about the nation. But I read everything I see in the paper.” As an avid reader, what could be Sani’s expectation from the nation, considering his seemingly penurious and pitiable conditions? His response: “I want the country to be better than what it is now. I wish that the country would become like America that cares and protects the common people. Things are not going well with us the poor people. We don’t have place to lay our heads.

We struggle so hard before we can eat. This is not how life is supposed to be in a country that cares for its people. We want the government to do something to change the situation so that we too can be happy as Nigerians.” Asked if he was conversant with President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign slogans, especially, “I had no shoes. If I can make it, you too can make it”? He said that he is not as he was neither watching television nor listening to radio during the campaign periods.

However, he further bared his mind on the state of the nation. “If Jonathan said that he had no shoes, now he has plenty shoes and he is not making us have even one shoe. It is not good. If you said that he promised that if he can make it we ordinary people can also make it, it is very clear that we are not making it.

The President should try and let poor people make it as he made it. If he cannot achieve this before he leaves as the President of this country, it means that he has disappointed himself,” Sani stated.

He seems to be conversant with the problem of the country, what is the expectation of Citizen Sani from the country? If he were to be in charge of governance, what would he do? “Me?” he wondered.
"I will build houses for the poor, build good schools, and construct roads. I will lead by example. Those are the things I will do,” he said, as he adjusted the paper he was reading and again buried his eyes in it.

Fashola Is Very Angry! Drags Jonathan's Governors To Court

The governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola is mad at the "nonsense" being displayed by about sixteen governors, who are bent on doing the bid of President Goodluck Jonathan and destroy the body known as Nigerian Governors Forum, because their candidate lost out in a free and fair election.
Fashola wondered why an "incompetent" man would be parading himself as Chairman and has vowed to put an end to the madness being promoted. He has taking action...

Governor Fashola, on Friday, filed a suit at Federal Capital Territory High Court in his capacity as member of the forum, asking the court to declare that Jonah Jang is not competent to be called the chairman of the NGF because he contested and lost the election.

In the writ of summons filed by a former Lagos Attorney General, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) and radical lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), Fashola maintained that 35 governors participated in the election that returned Amaechi as the NGF chairman.

He, therefore, asked the court to stop Jang from parading himself “As the elected chairman of the NGF in any manner whatsoever and howsoever.”

Fashola is seeking a declaration that the first defendant (Jang) is not competent to relocate the secretariat of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum from No. 1, Deng Xiaoping Street, Off AIT Junction, Asokoro Extension, Abuja to No. 2, Nana Close, by Ene Crescent, Off Nile Street, Maitama, Abuja or to any other place.

Governor Fashola also revealed that the Director-General of the NGF, Asishana Okauru, had been under pressure from the Jang-led faction to handover the assets and documents of the NGF to them.
He therefore asked the court to declare that Okauru should not “handover the assets and documents of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum" to Jang or his agents.
Apart from Jang, other defendants in the suit are the purportedly Sole Administrator appointed by Jang, one Osaro Onaiwu, and the Registered Trustees of the NGF vested with the power to administer and manage the trusts of the NGF.
Recall that the election into the post of the chairman of the NGF took place at the Rivers Governors Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja on Friday, May 25, 2013.

At the end of the voting, the Governor of Rivers State, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, scored 19 votes while his rival, the Governor of Plateau State, Mr. Jonah Jang, scored 16 votes. Consequently, Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State was declared the winner of the election.

Why I Have Not Gone Complete Nude In Movies ––Cossy

Popular entertainer, Cossy Orjiakor, blows hot on several issues in this interview with Ademola Olonilua. She compared herself flaunting her cleavages with some pastors flaunting their wealth through cars and few others through private jets. She said most Nigerians are serious hypocrites.

Cossy praised AfroCandy for going "Hollywood standard". See the complete chat below...

Do you regard yourself as a musician or an actress?
I’m an all round entertainer. I’m an artiste, actress and also an activist.

You recently released an album. What is the acceptance level?
Yes, I released an album so as to push me to take music seriously. Normally, I can do a song and then hibernate for a long time. With the album, Nutty Queen, a 15-track album out, I have two years to promote before I will do another. So far, I’m taking sexual seduction to the streets. I have done online promotion and my fans and even critics love it. I’m yet to take it round radio stations. Also, when the video is ready, I’ll take it to television stations. I’m kind of busy with other things so I really need someone very capable to manage me as an artiste. When I get that person, my music will get to the grass root because it has good messages.

You once said you are born again, are you still?
I never said that. I’m a sinner and have come short of the glory of God. He that is without sin should cast the first stone. My problem is that I’m too real in the midst of lots of fake people. It is by the special grace of God that people, even pastors, will make heaven. What’s the difference between I that love to show off my cleavage and the pastors that love to show off their flashy cars? The in thing now is private jets. I think I’m better off because with the economic situation, lots of stress and all, some can channel their frustrations and some people can get relieved at the sight that makes them forget the terrible situation.
But some of these church owners don’t know how to give back to the society, you don’t need to be a member before you can benefit. Churches can just buy basic foodstuffs and give to the needy. There are a lot of ills in this society. I don’t even want to mention the corporate thieves that get patted on the back for embezzling money meant for the old and retired citizens. Next time you see such people, ask them if they are born again because I’m a sinner. I pray God will give me my heart desires because my flesh is so weak.

Sounds like you are unhappy with the society
I love Nigeria. I’m a proud and true Nigerian. It’s just that I don’t like it when I’m asked that question. It’s so obvious that I’m not born again but with the special grace of God, I will be someday.

There are rumours of you having HIV. Is it true?
I will love to know where the rumour started, so I can sue. Also, the bloggers will write whatever they think will drive people to their sites without verifying if it’s true or not. Like a website just cooked up a story and said that I have HIV twice and I’m afraid to have it the third time. To an educated person, such stories are more like a joke but to those that don’t know better, they may believe it. I don’t have HIV, I don’t have AIDS. That does not mean it’s a death penalty for those that have it.

But I read it somewhere that a friend close to you confirmed the story…
Well, I can come up now and say that Bill Gates is my grandfather; talk is cheap. I will like whoever that said that I have AIDS to come out publicly and say it. I don’t bite. I just need who I can show proofs to, not the public. So if you think and believe I have AIDS, just quote yourself and not base it on rumours. My friends, the few that know me well and come to my place, are not cowards. They stand firm and fight for what they believe in. So if whoever said that can’t come out, then I don’t have who to respond to.

Why these many negative stories about you?
I’m blessed. When God has blessed you abundantly, you will surely have enemies. A lot has been said about my person. The first was when I stopped acting awhile back. Rumours went round that my father shot me. Later, it was that my father disowned me. It was published in newspapers. I later went to an event with my daddy. He even granted an interview. We posed for pictures but that interview was not published. Maybe they want to sell an image that I’m not in good terms with my family. Well, blood is thicker than water. I’m well loved and cherished by my parents and siblings.
Also, a movie I did in 2003 called Itohan and directed by Chico Ejiro made headlines in 2009. The dog issue: some mischievous persons that have access to the location pictures connived with a journalist. They called me up about the pictures; after telling them the source, they still went ahead to write a terrible story about my person. Up till now, some people still make mention of it. The video is online and also on my tweet page for people to watch. I’m even tired of trying to defend myself. Then this HIV story by an imaginary friend. I wonder what next. Maybe they will get someone that looks like me to act a sex movie. Whatever happens, I’m strong, I will survive because I have God’s grace and I am immensely blessed.

Talking of blue films, US-based Nigeria actress and producer, Afro Candy, said she would like to feature you in one of her sex movies.Like I said, talk is cheap. I’ll like to have a dinner date with Richard Branson, it’s just a wishful thinking. It’s when she approaches me then I will know she is serious. I have gone through a lot, now I know better. I can’t condemn her, she is Hollywood standard when it comes to showing off her body. The likes of Janet Jackson, Halle Berry even most of their female musicians have gone nude, and Nigerians adored them. For me, I can’t go totally nude, never. My mum told me never to go nude. If not, I have got a beautiful body and I’m not afraid to flaunt it. Besides other artistes have taken pictures with panties and bra, maybe on the beach. So it looks cool but when you wear and pose on bed, it smells sex.

About the pictures you posted on Twitter, why did you post them only to remove them and apologise?
I took those pictures in a friend’s guesthouse. My photographer took them. I was wearing a g-string and bustier. It was an on the spot thing. I didn’t make up for the pictures and she took them with her Blackberry phone. They were not good enough. I guess I was bored then. I can be up to no good when I’m bored and need a little distraction. So now I watch it when I’m bored; I watch what I do, so I won’t take such pictures again. Not as in looking at the pictures. I don’t have them at all.

Why did you apologise?
My friends and fans didn’t like the pictures; that’s why I apologised.

There was a time a man grabbed your boobs in public and you called him a black monkey, what happened?
Oh! the black monkey knows himself. No need to delve into that.

So what’s Cossy currently working on?
I’m working on my music video, fashion line and also trying to keep fit via pole climbing.

"OPON IMO": How A Tablet Can Transform Our Schools

"OPON IMO": HOW A TABLET CAN TRANSFORM OUR SCHOOLS
One cannot begin to summarise why the use of Tablets for Student would make a profound difference to their life and education. As a Nigerian, OPON IMO – The Tablet of Knowledge initiative by the government of the State of Osun is a welcome development to access the school curriculum.

The Tablets do so many things that other devices simply cannot do. Because they are small and light, they can be used anywhere. They travel with the student, whatever the individual needs of that student may be. Use is not restricted to a set location, Software is user-specific and use touch technologies...

It engages the use of modern state-of-the-art curriculum and education materials via the use of relevant apps, unprecedented access to learning contents on-the-go, huge cost-saving in Textbooks procurement for the students, access to updated information and trends by both the teachers and students, and so much more.

The government of the State of Osun has put words into action in improving the quality of education and refurbishing the entire education sector in the state by embracing the trend of the jet-age – Technology! The government has identified key issues especially in the area of performance of students in the Senior Secondary School leaving certificate and matriculation examinations.

And OPON IMO, the adoption of an IT strategy, is the conduit which facilitates these change that will make the whole difference.

OPON IMO...it's all about empowering minds & enriching lives.

Diary of A Stupid Boyfriend – Sex Is Expensive

If you get married because of sex you are a dead man. Married people or those in relationships do not get as much sex as those retarded fellows who run around the streets. If you ever thought of sex and marriage as a complimenting duo, you are a stupid and rubbish man. Change your mindset now before it is dusk.

When you settle down with a woman you become a sane man. You become an ideal man. Every lady would adore you. Do not mess it up. Everyone including your spouse expects the best of behaviours. You should maintain such good conduct. Be grateful to that considerate Nigerian woman who has picked interest in your wretched life.

Be grateful! Sex should not cross your dirty mind. When your spouse bends to pick up a kitchen knife in her skimpy skirt you should look and appreciate what a beauty you have. Do not think of her nakedness or a piece of her. You already had all the sex you would ever need in your life before marriage.

Marriage is just a union of two different people, agreeing to live under same roof until the world finds a reason to call it quit. Respect it and endure your life. Pick interest in something creative like football or polo. Shit happens!

Sex could be good oh, as it binds two different individuals into one person. Sex could be the safest and less expensive physical exercise in the West, but as a married Nigerian fellow or someone who is in a relationship in Nigeria, you are limited in thoughts. Such thoughts are harmful to you. You should not even consider it. Scream a religious mantra when the thought comes. Bind it in the name of whoever you believe in and fast and pray. Married people, those in relationships, that latter being my group, is less active sexually. We are not super excited about it.

You are limited to sex: in short, it is expensive when you two are officially together. So one day, I thought I was still the same retarded fellow who could get anything at anytime so I requested for sex, yes, I actually did. You should have seen the look. I knew I was a dead man. I never knew I needed to send a memo through to her desk and then await a response and the actual hour she would be free, that is if she will ever be free. Chai. The life of a stupid boyfriend is uneasy oh. I recoiled into my shell and recited the entire hymns in the world.
Relationship provides you everything but regular sex. If you had ever dreamt the other way round, you had malaria. Go for a medical check up and be treated. It is good for you. Men know nothing, especially about sex. Men think they can jump up at the woman when the Shame between their thighs stands erect. How pathetic! The woman sees your flesh and your spirit. She decides the dose you get and you should not even ask her questions.

Maybe on a rainy night when the weather is so cold you may think: ‘this is it!’ so you coil up in the bed, throw your hand around her and expect a cozy reply. Of course, you will get it. You will get a slap. You should allow her to do the thinking and throw the hands, and when she does, do not act like she did. Do not make shakara. If you do, that would be the end of sex in that relationship. You are not to make shakara for a Nigerian woman!

So that day I chatted up the issue with her and she gave me the entire sermon I needed not to hear. Men who are married should be priests. That is better. That way, your energy is channelled to the right direction. My girlfriend loves me and she makes the best decision for me so I respect her words. Am I not pathetic? When she says “wear your shorts” I do. I quickly wear the shorts and expect the next line of command. If you live like me you will not have a problem. Your life will be easy. And you will live a longer life.

If you are the type of man who comes home before her, please ensure to clean the house, make her bath-water ready. Ask her how her day went and then ask if you can massage her back. If you are granted the permission, do not see it as a green light for sex, you may get yourself killed under the heels of her shoes. Just do the bloody job she wants you to do and if you are lucky, she could ask for your panties to go down. That is your Christmas. You can jump around the house like a rat whose dried crayfish is so enormous.

Married men should come together to form a community. When married men pray they are answered because they are pathetic, especially if they are obedient to their spouses. My advice is; get as much safe sex before you get into a relationship if you can. When you are in, you are a sane man and you are not expected to falter. When you do, you will be treated like a criminal. You do not joke with the heart of a Nigerian woman. Every Nigerian woman shoul

D'banj's most expensive fashion item

When asked to mention the most expensive fashion item he has in a recent Punch interview, D'banj said he has a $50, 000 (N7.9m) FM wrist watch and has another watch that Jay Z also owns.

"I’m always wearing expensive things; like now, I have two watches on my wrist. I’m putting on a Franck Muller, master of complication. It goes for at least $50,000. The other is a big face, the same one Jay-Z is rocking."
Asked to describe his fashion style, D'banj said:
I don’t know. I just dress how I want to be addressed. Sometimes, I want to look like a biker, sometimes I want to look like a billionaire. I wanted to get myself a power bike until I started making it. I had to decide against it because if I get injured, I would not be able to perform. Right now, I can only ride through video games
